Kasar Devi, Binsar, Jageshwar and Almora

Since arriving in India we have come to realise that we aren’t really that good at the actual “travelling” part of travelling. Setting up camp for a couple of weeks in each special place we come across means that we can find peace and comfort amongst the chaos. Rishikesh and Phool Chatti Ashram

We arrived in Rishikesh – Laxman Jhula – at about 10:30 at night. Everything was very quiet. It was so serene. Crossing the Ganges by a wire suspension foot bridge we found the hotel we were aiming for amongst the alleyways and closed stalls. The Ganga View Hotel didn’t actually have any views over the Ganga (Ganges) river but was welcoming, clean and very cheap.
